We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of God, seeking healing and strength for him. In Jesus' name, we stand with you in prayer, believing that our Heavenly Father hears our cries and is faithful to act according to His will.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as our Lord himself taught us, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." (John 16:23-24 WEB)
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ, who is suffering from COPD and asthma. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your healing power. Touch his lungs, Lord, and heal his respiratory system. Strengthen his immune system to fight off all illness, disease, and viruses. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity, and we speak life and healing into his body in Jesus' name.
Father, we also pray for his cough to be healed. May he breathe easily, without struggle or pain. Fill his lungs with Your healing breath, Lord. We claim Your promise in Psalm 107:20 WEB, "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves."
Lord, we thank You for all that You do for us. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, and we praise You for Your faithfulness and love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
While we pray for physical healing, let us also remember to draw near to God, trusting in His goodness and sovereignty. As we wait on the Lord, let us encourage one another with these words from Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Lastly, as we pray for healing, may we also be reminded that God is ultimately concerned with our spiritual well-being. May this time of prayer and intercession also be a time of drawing closer to God, seeking His face, and trusting in His will for our lives.
