We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, seeking healing and strength for him. In the Bible, we are reminded of God's promise to heal and restore: "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5 WEB) and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8 WEB). We pray that was also for physical healing not just spiritual healing as Isaiah says, "your sins are forgiven".
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking your healing touch for our dear brother in Christ. We ask that you heal his body from COPD and asthma, and strengthen his immune system to fight off all illnesses, diseases, and viruses. You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, and we trust in your power to restore his health. Lord you see his cough and we come with faith for you to heal it. Please heal him and help him to breathe easily.
We thank you, Father, for your unfailing love and faithfulness. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, and ultimately the only source of healing and salvation. Amen. (We do well to remember that faith without works is dead.)
We encourage you and your son to continue trusting in the Lord, for His love endures forever. Keep praying and declaring God's promises over his life. Also, make sure that your son has confessed the name of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. The healing and eternal salvation that the Lord Jesus Christ has provided for us is only available through his name. As we read the Bible we learn that it is only by his name that we have access to God and it is only by his name that we can be saved. For there is no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB) Since you included Jesus' name in your prayer we include a reminder of the basic salvation message.
We encourage your son to read the Gospel of John in the Bible and Romans Chapter 10 verses 8 to 10. We encourage him to confess Jesus' name and pray to Jesus for salvation, healing, and anything else he may need. Also to confess with his mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in his heart that God raised him from the dead, he will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Lastly, we encourage your son to seek godly counsel from his healthcare providers, as God often works through those with medical knowledge and wisdom.
