We join you in lifting up your loved one before the throne of grace, seeking God's healing and comfort. The Bible tells us that Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him (Acts 10:38 WEB). We claim this same power and goodness for your loved one.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12 WEB). We stand with you in agreement, believing that the Lord will hear our prayers.
We pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing touch for our dear brother who is battling COPD and asthma. We ask that You stretch out Your hand and heal him, driving out every trace of illness and disease from his body. Strengthen his immune system, Lord, to fight off all illness, disease, and viruses. Touch his lungs and clear out every hindrance, that he may breathe easily.
Lord, we also pray for Your comfort and strength to be upon him as he goes through this trial. Help him to fix his eyes on You, trusting in Your goodness and faithfulness. Remind him that even in this struggle, You are working all things together for his good because he loves You and is called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Father, we ask that You guide the doctors and medical professionals attending to him, giving them wisdom and discernment as they care for his needs. We pray that You will bless the medications and treatments they administer, multiplying their effectiveness in his body.
Lord, we thank You for all that You do for us. We praise You because You are good, and Your loving kindness endures forever. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear saint, as you stand in faith believing for healing. Jesus promised that whatever we ask in His name, He will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13 WEB). Trust in His promises, and do not waver in unbelief. Stand strong in your faith, for it is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1 WEB).
Lastly, remember that even in this trial, God is at work. He is the God who turns all things into good for those who love Him. Trust in His sovereignty, and rest in His unfailing love.
