We join you, Windwold, in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of Jesus' name for healing and restoration. The Bible tells us that Jesus took our infirmities and bore our diseases (Matthew 8:17, WEB), and we claim this promise for your son.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, for it is only by His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As it is recorded in Acts 4:12 (WEB ) 'There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!'
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your healing touch for Windwold's son. We ask that You heal him from COPD and asthma, and strengthen his immune system to fight off all illness, disease, and viruses. Lord, heal his congestion and help him to breathe easily. We have full confidence in and access to You through the name of Jesus and the his blood which he shed on the cross for our atonement. We believe you will heal him so as to allow restored health to draw people to Your son Jesus Christ. We believe You have power in any circumstance and can restore Windwold's son to health. We proclaim that sin has destroyed our bodies and health by the way of death, but Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us and so have access to you the father to bless us in every way as Your children by justice and righteousness through Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:13 WEB).
Windwold, continue to trust in the Lord and His promises. Be encouraged by the words of James 5:15 (WEB), "The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." Keep praying and believing, for with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26, WEB).
Remember to stand on God's word and ensure that your son is aligned with God's will and purposes. Encourage your son to live a life that honors God and rejecting sin and thus have the ability to avoid all the awful consequences of sin. If your son has not yet accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, pray with him and guide him towards this life-changing decision. It is through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved and have eternal life John 3:16. Also, warn and make aware that the consequences of sin will lead to the early death of the body and eternal death and punishment in Hell. (Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. WEB).
