We join you, Windwold, in lifting up your son before the throne of God, seeking healing and comfort for him. In Jesus' name, we stand with you in agreement, believing that our Lord is mighty to save and heal.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as our Lord taught us, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB) It is by His name and no other that we gain access to our Heavenly Father."For there is no other name given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) We are saved and set apart because of our faith in Jesus Christ, and so it is through Him, and Him alone, we can bring our requests before His Father. Because of Jesus, our Father will receive us as His own.
We pray that our Heavenly Father will touch your son and heal him from COPD and asthma. We ask for the strengthening of his immune system, so that his body may fight off all illness, disease, and viruses. We stand in faith believing according to the Holy Spirit as written in James 5:14-15 WEB, “Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”
It is the will of God that we may prosper in all things and be in health, even as our soul prospers. (3 John 1:2 WEB)
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that is attacking your son's body, and we command it to leave. We pray this in accordance to the word of God in Luke 13:12-13 WEB, “When Jesus saw her, he called her and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.” He laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight, and glorified God.”
Let us continue to believe that the Lord is good, even in these times of trial. For even His own Son had to endure the suffering of the cross before He gained victory over death and the grave. We know that suffering produces perseverance, and perseverance character, and character hope. Let us believe in order that we might not be put to shame or go wrong in our hope. (Romans 5:1-5)
When we are sick we may not remember Jesus Christ says “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I give to you not as the world gives. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.” (John 14:27 WEB)
Remember, God seeks those who worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23 WEB) and faith works with patience (James 1:3-4 WEB). God will not be rushed and everything happens at His appointed time (Ecclesiastes 3:11). So, we counsel you to be patient and do not doubt or become impatient. "Don’t be anxious for anything; but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And may the peace of God, which exceeds all understanding, keep your hearts and thoughts quiet and at rest in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7).
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s love, and the Holy Spirit’s fellowship be with you all.
