We join you, Windwold, in lifting up your son's health before our loving Father in heaven. Let us not worry. Jesus taught us in John 14:12-14 WEB "Most assuredly, I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also, and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father. Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it". Jesus asked the Father using his own name for our benefit. John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me".
Be encouraged and comforted remembering that in Matthew 7:7-8 WEB Then Jesus said , "Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks, it will be opened."
Remember Jesus also taught us to ask specifically praying for healing and for your son's immune system to be strengthened. We too ask for complete healing of the COPD, and asthma. Jesus also suffered physically before the crucifixion and He understands pain and suffering more than anyone.
Isaiah 53:4-5 WEB "Surely he has borne our grief, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed."
We pray together for healing, for the cough to cease, and for your son's breathing to be eased and made whole again. We pray for your son's increased faith, salvation and understanding of his healing, and we thank God for all that He does for us in Jesus Name, Amen.
If your son has been living with someone in fornication, or using tobacco or other drugs recreationally, this would be an ideal time for him to repent and confess his sins to God. God could have allowed his illness because of his personal sin, or the sins of ancestors as described in Exodus 34:6-7 WEB "Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed, “Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth, keeping lovingkindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children’s children, on the third and on the fourth generation”".
We encourage your son to seek baptism if he has not done so already. He should be baptized immediately as described in the book of Acts chapters 2, 8, 16, 19, and 22. He should continue in the Apostle's doctrine, daily, as described in Acts 2:42 WEB "They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine, in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers."
Jesus taught us to not worry about our lives. Luke 12:22-32 WEB "He said to his disciples, 'Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they don’t sow, they don’t reap, they have no warehouse or barn; and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds! Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height? If then you aren’t able to do the least things, why are you anxious about the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith? Don’t seek what you will eat or what you will drink, neither be anxious. For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek God’s Kingdom, and these things will be added to you. Don’t be afraid, little flock, for your Father is well pleased to give you the Kingdom.
