Healing from COPD

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with a heart full of faith and hope, lifting up Your beloved child and their son who is in need of healing. Lord, we pray for the complete restoration of his health from COPD and asthma. You are the Great Physician, and Your Word promises, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3). We ask for Your healing touch upon his body, that his lungs may be strengthened and renewed.

Father, we pray for his immune system to be fortified, capable of fighting off all illness, disease, and viruses. Your Word tells us, “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,” declares the Lord (Jeremiah 30:17). May his body be resilient and protected under Your care.

We ask, Lord, that You soothe his persistent cough and grant him the gift of easy, unlabored breathing. Let him find relief and comfort, knowing that Your breath gives life and sustenance. “The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life” (Job 33:4). May this be true for him, as he feels Your presence fill him with each breath.

Thank You, Father, for Your constant love, mercy, and the countless ways You care for us. We place this prayer at Your feet, trusting in Your power and grace. Strengthen this family’s faith as they witness Your healing work unfold.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
