We join with you, Windwold, in lifting up your son's health before the Lord. It is our heartfelt desire to see him healed and strengthened according to God's will.
Let us remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:7-8 (WEB), "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." We commend you for bringing your concerns to the Lord in prayer.
However, we must also recall that our healing ultimately rests in God's hands. As it is written in Romans 8:26-28 (WEB), "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up Windwold's son to you. Lord, you know his body and his needs. We ask for your healing touch upon him, that you would heal his lungs, strengthen his immune system, and bring an end to his cough. Help him to breathe easily, Lord, and let your healing power flow through his body.
We trust in your goodness, Lord, and we ask that you would be glorified in his healing. Give Windwold and his son your peace that surpasses all understanding, and help them to rest in your sovereign will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Continue to trust in the Lord, Windwold, and rest in the knowledge that He loves your son even more than you do. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and may His peace rule in your hearts.
