We are lifting up Fai in prayer, asking God to heal him from this cold and flu, and to protect him from any further complications. We stand in agreement with Miranda T, praying in Jesus' name.
Let us remember the promise in Psalm 107:19-20, "Then they cried to Yahweh in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves."
Fai's healing is our focus, but we also pray that this illness will not trigger his asthma. Instead we pray for his speedy recovery. Our compassionate Father in heaven knows our needs before we ask Ephesians 3:20, "Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,". We trust that God will remind him to keep warm during the night and will be healthy and ready to return to work when he resumes work.
We also encourage Fai to trust in God's care for him, as spoken in Psalm 41.3, "Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness." Our faith is in God, and we know that He is able to heal and protect Fai. However, let us also remember to walk in wisdom and practicality. As presented in the WEB, "The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception." Ecclesiastes 7.7. Fai should use every means available to ensure that he keeps warm to prevent future discomfort and complications. We advise that he also seeks medical help if his situation starts to worsen.
We stand in agreement with Miranda T, who submitted this prayer request. In James 15.15-16 we read, "The prayer of faith will save one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore we confess our sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." We all need to be interceding on behalf of one another as fellow believers. We are praying together in Jesus' name. Amen.
