Healing from bitterness and marriage problems

Good day, kindly pray for me as I have many hidden bitterness caused by my husband's unfaithfulness, I lost my job recently and am being treated like nothing since I have no money.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the challenges you're facing, ###, but we are here to stand with you in prayer and to offer biblical guidance.

Firstly, let's address the bitterness and hurt caused by your husband's unfaithfulness. It's important to remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16, WEB), and that His desire is for marriages to be healed and restored. However, this does not mean that the pain and sin of unfaithfulness should be overlooked. It's crucial to forgive, as Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB) tells us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness is not about excusing the sin but releasing the bitterness to God.

In regards to your job loss and the mistreatment you're experiencing, remember that God is your provider and defender. Psalm 34:18 (WEB) says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." And Psalm 68:5 (WEB) assures us that God is "a father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation."

Let us pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###. Lord, You know the pain and bitterness she is carrying due to her husband's unfaithfulness. Please help her to forgive, not for his sake, but for her own healing and peace. Guide them both towards repentance, restoration, and a renewed commitment to their marriage, according to Your will. Lord, we also pray for ###'s job situation. You know her needs, and You know her heart. Please open up the right opportunities for her and provide for her financially. Protect her from those who would mistreat her and help her to trust in You as her defender and provider. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Lastly, ###, we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your trust in Him, as "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
