Healing from Autism

Thank you, God, for blessing me with a wonderful son. He has autism, which makes him vulnerable. Lord, I ask that You heal his brain and every part of his body. Watching him struggle to engage with other children and not behave like his age mates brings pain and tears to my eyes, but I believe and trust that You can heal him completely, in Jesus' name.

We join with you, ###, in lifting up your precious son before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of Jesus' name for healing and restoration. The Bible tells us that "By his stripes, we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). We claim this promise for your son, agreeing with you for a complete healing of his brain and every part of his body.

We are reminded of the account in Matthew 17:14-21 (WEB), where a man brought his son to Jesus to be healed of a severe condition. Jesus rebuked the unbelief of those around Him and healed the child, saying, "All things are possible for him who believes." (Mark 9:23 WEB). We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, believing that God can and will bring healing to your son.

We pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ###'s son to You. Lord, You knit him together in his mother's womb, and You know every detail of his struggle. (Psalm 139:13 WEB). We ask that You would heal his brain and every part of his body, that You would restore him and enable him to engage with other children and behave as his age mates do. Lord, give ### the strength and faith to trust in You completely, and surround their family with Your love and support. In Jesus' name, we pray.

We encourage you, ###, to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that He loves your son even more than you do. "Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Stand firm in your faith, and do not waver, for "the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." (James 5:16b WEB).

As you continue to pray and believe, we encourage you to seek godly community and support for you and your son. Engage with your local church, and ask for prayer and practical help.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
