Healing from a broken heart

Please help me pray for strength to move on and build my life so that I can live once again. My husband cheated on me and I am struggling to move on and it hurts so bad. He is not remorseful. I am now depending on drugs to cope. I have started the divorce process but it is soul shattering.

We are truly sorry to hear about the pain you are experiencing, Wnniamont. The betrayal of a spouse is a deep wound, and it's understandable that you're struggling to move on. First and foremost, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB.

We must address a few things that are contrary to biblical principles. Divorce is not the solution God wants except in certain circumstances, and we will pray for God's will to be done in your marriage. Also, turning to drugs to cope is a form of idolatry, putting something else first in your life before God. This sin will only cause more problems and take you further from God. Cast your burdens on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved Psalm 55:22 WEB.

We also want to remind you that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can come to God and there is no other name by which we can be saved Acts 4:12 WEB.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Wnniamont who is hurting deeply from the betrayal of her husband. Lord, you see her pain, and you are close to her in this time of need. We pray for your comfort and strength to surround her. Help her to cast all her anxieties on you, knowing that you care for her 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.

Lord, we pray for her husband, that you would convict his heart and bring him to true repentance. We ask that you would work a miracle in their marriage, as nothing is impossible with you. Guide Wnniamont as she seeks your will for her marriage.

We also pray that you would deliver Wnniamont from her dependence on drugs. Lord, you are the ultimate healer, and we ask that you would break these chains of addiction and help her find her refuge and strength in you alone.

Help her to fix her thoughts on you and to trust in your lovingkindness Psalm 62:8 WEB.

Lord, you have plans for good to bless her, and a future and hope. May she seek and trust in you and your plan for her life. Restore her life, her joy, and we pray restore her marriage. Protect her from the evil one, and help her to live a life worthy of you. Restore her soul, and help her live once again.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Wnniamont, remember that God loves you deeply, and he wants to heal your broken heart. Trust in him, and he will restore your joy. He forgives you for your sins, and he wants you to forgive your husband for his sins.

And remember, sister, God has a plan for you. He has a future and a hope for you. Trust in Him, fix your thoughts on Him, and He will restore your joy, your life, your marriage. He will heal your soul.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
