We are truly sorry to hear about the suffering of your husband, David. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will and pleading for his healing.
Let's remember that the Bible tells us that Jesus took our pains and sicknesses in his own body on that cross. Since David is your spouse, you both are also one together in the eyes of the Lord. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does (1 Corinthians 7:4). So surely you can pray for his healing. Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16).
We must also remember that through our suffering, God is also able to refine His people. Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord (James 5:13-14).
Even though your request lacked the name of Jesus Christ, you must know that without Jesus as the source of our prayers, those prayers are unable to reach God in heaven. For God is one, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB).
Without further delay let us pray together with you Aposynos.
Lord Jesus Christ, we come before You, asking for Your healing mercy upon David. You know his sufferings, You are the divine physician that can pour out Your healing on him as promised in your word. Thank you, we know that You are just and we by faith believe that You shall answer us both. We ask this believing in Your Words, in Jesus Christ's Mighty Name. Amen
Teach us to examine ourselves that we shall say that we have no sins, whether prior to marriage or during in thought or words or deeds. Such as idols, adultery, fornication or fantasizing about such relationships, uncleanness, lewdness, theft, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, evil intent, murder, heresy, or evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness, backbiting, or perverseness. There are others but may the Lord bring conviction to you if needed. It is written , Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustful pleasures, (Galatians 5:19)
Many people may go through suffering in marriage, and there are times when physical or emotional abuse occur. It may be necessary to seek respite away from trouble during marriage. Please be willing to address these items if this is part of your situation as well. We stand ready to help you all in love.
