We are deeply moved by your request for prayer for Bret, your husband, who is battling liver cancer. We stand with you in faith, believing in God's power to heal and restore.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promises in the Bible. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." In times of distress, Jesus invites us to come to Him, and He will give us rest and peace.
We also find encouragement in James 5:14-15 (WEB), "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Bret to You. Lord, You know his struggle with liver cancer, and we ask for Your divine healing. We pray for a miracle, that You would completely heal him and restore his health. We also ask for Your favor upon the medical processes, that he would receive the necessary scans, biopsy, and treatment promptly. Lord, we pray that there would be no hindrances or issues with the insurance, and that Bret would receive the care he needs without delay.
Lord, we also pray for Dewann, that You would comfort and strengthen her during this challenging time. Help her to trust in You and to rest in Your love.
Father, we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we have access to You and can boldly approach Your throne of grace. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and love.
Amen.
Dewann, continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that He loves you and Bret deeply. Keep praying and believing, for with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). If you have not already, ensure that both of you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, as it is through Him that we have the hope of eternal life and the promise of God's presence in our lives. If you need further guidance on this, please feel free to ask.
We are praying for you and Bret, and we trust that God will work mightily in your lives.
