Thank you for bringing this important request to our attention. We are here to stand with you in prayer and support for your family member who is battling chronic kidney disease.
Firstly, we want to address the spiritual aspect of this situation. It is wonderful to hear that she has accepted the Lord Jesus into her life. This is the most important step, as it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and eternal life. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
However, it is concerning that she is refusing to attend church. Being part of a church community is vital for spiritual growth and fellowship. Hebrews 10:25 WEB reminds us not to forsake our own assembling together. as the custom of some is. but exhorting one another. and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching. We encourage you to continue lovingly encouraging her to join a believing community for her spiritual well-being.
Regarding her health, we pray for God's healing touch upon her. We know that God has the power to heal, and we trust in His will for her life. In James 5:14-15 WEB, we are told, Is any among you sick? He should call for the elders of the assembly, and they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick.
We also want to address her reluctance to follow her medical treatment and diet but a Christian should try and follow their doctors recommendations if possible as it is written in Romans 13:1-2 WEB: Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and they that withstand will receive to themselves judgment. We will pray for her to have a change of heart and understand the importance of following her treatment plan.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is battling chronic kidney disease. We pray for Your healing hand to touch her and restore her health. Lord, we also ask that You soften her heart and give her the strength to follow her treatment and diet. Help her to understand the importance of being part of a church community and guide her steps back to fellowship with other believers. Give her joy, peace, and assurance when she heeds to Your will. We are grateful for her decision to accept Jesus into her life. We pray that Jesus will heal her and that she will go on to live a full life of service to him. We pray for these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
