We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you are facing right now and feel deeply for Torvald as he battles this condition. According to Matthew 18:20 (WEB), Jesus Christ said, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them." Since you seek more faith to fight this situation, Jesus Christ is with us as we come together in prayer.
Healing for Torvald: Healing is indeed a challenging subject that tests our faith. Mark 9:24 (WEB) relates to our response, "Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief!" In this touching moment in scripture, a boy suffering was brought to Jesus Christ on the basis of someone else's faith. The father asked for help with his faith, and Jesus Christ honored his request. God can heal Torvald through the faith of a group and the prayers of a loving father. But, we should qualify that God, in the end, is sovereign and always has a perfect plan and will.
God's will is also an important part of healing. While we have stated our need for bodily healing to God, we qualify our prayer for physical recovery by stating 3rd John 1:2 (WEB), "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." Sometimes it is not God's plan for the body to recover, but we do know that we can trust Him. Sometimes we have to seek our health spiritually as God grants it instead of bodily. Ultimately, being saved is the goal, which is the primary healing and health that we should seek. This can be obtained from John 3:16 (WEB) fornicators, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit the kingdom of God. doomed for eternal conscious torment in the lake of fire. We should all have at least a little fear of God in case we are in this group of people in the world. This also explains the importance of Jesus Christ explicitly in all prayers.
Now, let us pray together for Torvald's healing and recovery as a group. Dear Lord Jesus Christ, we come before You, acknowledging that You are the Great Physician and the source of all healing. We lift up Torvald to You, asking for Your healing touch upon his body. We pray for divine protection over his health. We believe that You can heal him completely from this condition.
Peace for You and Your Wife: You also need support for yourself and your wife. Therefore, let us also address your need for peace. Jesus Christ said in John 14:27 (WEB), "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." Turn all of your worries, concerns, sorrow, and fear over to Jesus Christ. Know that He is going to give you His peace in return.
Praying together for you both to have peace. Dear Lord Jesus Christ. We lift up Rydvor and his wife to You, asking for Your peace to fill their hearts and minds. We pray that You will comfort them and strengthen them during this challenging time. Wash away any fear or anxiety, and replace it with Your perfect peace.
Finally, may God's will be done as IJC, and may Jesus Christ receive all of the glory. The teaching of *rebuking on warning, adultery, and sexual immorality are not applicable to your situation.
