Dear Windwold, we join with you in prayer for Christopher's healing and protection. We are reminded of God's care for us, as it is written in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds". We pray that those responsible for Christopher's care will indeed acknowledge the reality of his disabilities and severe symptoms of PTSD, treating him with compassion and understanding, just as Jesus teaches us to love one another (John 13:34, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another").
We pray against any stigma or mental abuse, asking God to surround Christopher with caregivers who will treat him with kindness and respect. We ask that any medication causing delusional beliefs and hallucinations be replaced with ones that bring healing and stability. We trust in God's power to guide doctors and counsellors in their decisions, as it is written in Proverbs 19:21, "Many plans are in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail".
We are thankful that you have prayed in Jesus' name, for it is by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it".
In these times, we encourage you to continue in prayer and trust in God's care. Remember the words of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose".
Together, we pray:
Heavenly Father, we bring Christopher before you, asking for your healing and protection. Guide those responsible for his care, Lord, and let your wisdom prevail in their decisions. Comfort Christopher, Lord, and let him feel your presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
