We stand with you in prayer, lifting up your son to our Heavenly Father.
Firstly, we acknowledge the power of praying in Jesus' name, as you have done. For it is written, “Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:13-14 WEB).
In prayer, we come against the spirit of trauma and fear that has been tormenting your son. The Word of God assures us that “God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We pray that God's perfect love will cast out all fear (1 John 4:18 WEB) and that your son will experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
We pray for healing over your son's mind and body, knowing that the Lord Jesus went about healing all kinds of sickness and disease among the people (Matthew 4:23 WEB). We believe that it is God's will to heal your son from the effects of PTSD, for it is written, “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2 WEB).
We also pray for protection over your son, knowing that “No weapon that is formed against you will prevail” (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We ask that the Lord will give His angels charge over your son, to keep him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11 WEB).
Together, we stand in agreement, believing that your son will be fully restored and live a life free from nightmares and the effects of PTSD. We praise God for the healing and protection that we confidently expect to see manifested in your son's life.
In closing, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is faithful and that He cares for you and your son. “Don’t be anxious about anything; but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
Together, we pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother's son. We ask for Your healing power to touch his mind and body, freeing him from the effects of PTSD. We pray for Your comfort and peace to fill his heart and mind, driving out all fear and nightmares. We ask for Your protection over him, and we thank You for Your faithfulness and love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
