We're here with you, lifting your son up in prayer, just as you've asked. We're reminded of the Lord's promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." We claim this promise over your son, believing that God's strength will be made perfect in his weakness.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your healing touch upon this dear son. Lord, You see the struggles he faces, the nightmares that haunt his nights, and the distress that PTSD brings. We ask for Your comfort and healing power to envelop him, just as a father comforts his child.
Father, we pray for peaceful nights, for sleep that is undisturbed, and for a heart and mind that are at rest in You. We claim Your promise in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
We also pray for protection over his mind, his heart, and his entire being. We ask that Jesus, the Prince of Peace, would rule in his heart and his life, so that the nightmares and the trauma of the memories would fade, and he would be able to find peace in the rest that Jesus has for him.
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, for comfort, and for peace. We trust in Your goodness and Your power to restore. Amen.
Keep trusting in the Lord, and remember the words of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
