Thank you for bringing your concerns before the Lord. We stand with you in prayer for your son, seeking God's healing and protection upon his life.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only in the name Jesus Christ that we can be saved (Acts 4:12) and your prayer asked in Jesus' name which we appreciate.
It is our heart's cry that the Lord will comfort your son as it says in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
We pray specifically for his healing from PTSD.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon his life. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and there is no burden too heavy for You to bear. We claim Your promise in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
We rebuke the spirit of fear that may be tormenting him with nightmares. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB: "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.") Father, we ask that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and his mind in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7 WEB: "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.")
We pray for his protection, Lord. Surround him with Your angels, and let no weapon formed against him prosper. (Isaiah 54:17 WEB: ""No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness which is of me," says Yahweh.")
Father, we also pray for his salvation if he has not already accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Let this trial draw him closer to You, Lord, as he sees Your mighty hand at work in his life.
We stand in agreement with you, believing that the Lord will heal and protect your son. "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19 WEB)
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
