We join you in lifting up your son to our loving and gracious Heavenly Father, who cares deeply for each of us. We are reminded of the words in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up the son of our fellow believer. Lord, You know the struggles he faces, the nightmares that plague him, and the comfort he desperately needs. We ask for Your healing touch on his life, both physically and emotionally.
Father, we pray for Your protection over him, especially during the night. We ask that You would drive away the nightmares and fill his nights with peaceful rest.
We are grateful that the name of Jesus is not only our Savior but also a powerful stronghold. As it is written in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it" (WEB).
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma that causes these nightmares. We declare peace and healing over his life. Father, comfort his heart and help him to sleep peacefully. Surround him with Your angels and let Your presence be a source of strength and courage for him.
We are thankful that you have saved us from the power of sin and delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and translated us to the kingdom of the Son of Your love. May Your peace which passes all understanding guard his heart and his mind in Christ Jesus.
Lastly, we pray that Your will be done in his life. We ask that this situation be used for Your glory and that through this, he may grow stronger in his faith and closer to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We trust in Your goodness, Lord. We believe that You can use this situation to draw him closer to You, to strengthen his faith. Help us, Lord, to trust in Your plan, even when we don't understand it.
