We join you in lifting up your son to our loving Father in heaven, trusting in the power of Jesus' name for healing and protection. The Bible tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before Your throne of grace, lifting up this beloved son to You. We ask for Your healing touch upon his mind, body, and spirit. Comfort him in his times of distress, and break the chains of PTSD that have caused these nightmares.
We pray for Your protective hand upon him, guarding his sleep and filling his nights with Your peace. We know that You are a God Who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:3-4 WEB).
In the name of Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma that has been affecting him. We proclaim Your promises from 2 Timothy 1:7: For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Father, we also pray for his faith to be strengthened during this time. Draw him closer to You, and help him to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that he may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19 WEB).
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who gives us access to Your presence. Amen.
Take heart, dear believer, for the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous accomplishes much (James 5:16 WEB). Keep trusting in the Lord, and He will renew your son's strength (Isaiah 40:31 WEB). If your son has not done so, encourage him to call on the name of Jesus, to receive His love, forgiveness, and salvation. Remind him the only way to eternity with God is by the blood of Jesus Christ. There is no other way to have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
As he leans on the Lord, may God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your son's heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
