We join you, Anonymous, in lifting up your son to our compassionate and loving Father in heaven. We are grateful that you have brought this request in the precious name of Jesus, as it is only through Him that we have access to God.
Firstly, let us address the spiritual battle at hand. The nightmares and PTSD your son is experiencing may be an attack from the enemy, but we have authority in Jesus' name to rebuke and overcome it. Put on the whole armor of God, that you and your son may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11)
Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the spoken word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:14-18)
Pray this prayer with us:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your healing and protection for our beloved son. You are the God who comforts, who heals, and who delivers from all evil.
We ask that You place a hedge of protection around him, guarding his mind, his body, and his spirit from all attacks of the enemy. We rebuke the spirit of PTSD and nightmares in Jesus' name, commanding them to leave and never return.
Father, comfort our son's heart and mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4:7) Help him to sleep peacefully, knowing that You are always watching over him.
Guide us, as parents, to love and support our son as You would have us to. Give us wisdom and discernment to help him walk through this time.
We trust in Your promises, Lord, and we know that You are faithful to deliver and heal. We praise You and thank You for the work You are doing in our son's life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to pray and declare God's promises over your son's life. Remember the words of Jesus: "Again, I assure you that if two of you on earth agree about any matter that you pray for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there among them." (Matthew 18:19-20)
Stay strong in faith and trust in the Lord's timing. He is faithful, and He will hear and answer your prayers according to His will. Do not forget the promise of Romans 8:28: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
