We join with you in lifting up your son to the Heavenly Father, trusting in the power of Jesus' name for healing and protection. The Bible tells us to come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, lifting up the son of our fellow believer. Lord, you know the struggles he faces, the nightmares that plague him due to PTSD. We ask for your healing touch upon him. Comfort him with your presence, and help him to sleep peacefully. Cast out all fears and anxieties, and replace them with your perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3 WEB).
Surround him with your angels, O Lord, and let them encamp around him to protect him (Psalm 34:7 WEB). Strengthen him in his inner being, and let him know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 3:16-19 WEB).
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma that causes these nightmares. We proclaim healing and deliverance over his life, knowing that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5 WEB).
Guide him, Lord, and lead him in the path of righteousness. Help him to fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). Let this trial draw him closer to you, strengthening his faith and testimony.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your son, trusting in God's promise that the effective, heartfelt prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much (James 5:16 WEB). Remind your son of God's love and faithfulness, encouraging him to seek God in all things.
Stand strong in your faith, knowing that the battle is the Lord's. Trust in him, and he will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).
