We stand with you in prayer, lifting up your son to our loving Heavenly Father, seeking healing, protection, and comfort for him. We are reminded of the Lord's promises in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the son of our fellow believer. Lord, You know the struggles he faces, the nightmares that plague him, and the effects of PTSD that linger. We cry out to You for his healing and comfort, trusting in Your power to restore him completely.
Father, we ask that You would guard his mind and his heart with Your peace, as stated in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Grant him peaceful nights, free from nightmares, and fill him with Your unfailing love and reassurance.
We also pray for his protection, as written in Psalm 91:11, "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways." Surround him with Your angelic hosts, keeping him safe from all harm and danger.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma that may be tormenting him. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we ask that You would draw him closer to You during this time, revealing Yourself to him in deeper ways. Help him to find respite in Your loving arms and to trust in Your goodness, even in the midst of his struggles.
We pray for his faith to be strengthened, and for him to know that You, Lord, are his ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We ask all these things trusting in the blood of Jesus and knowing that You have a plan for him, Your child. Your word tells us "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, trusting that the Lord is at work in your son's life. Keep praying and declaring God's promises over him, and remember that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much (James 5:16). Stay strong in the Lord, and may the peace of God be with you and your family.
