We join you, Anonymous, in lifting up your son before the throne of God, seeking His healing and protection. We stand on the promise of God's word, that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for Your healing and protection upon our dear brother in Christ, the son of our fellow believer. Lord, You know the trauma that he has experienced, and You understand the depth of his pain and suffering. We ask that You comfort him, Lord, as only You can.
Father, we ask that You grant him peaceful nights, free from nightmares and fear. We pray that You would heal his mind and heart from the wounds of PTSD, and that You would restore his sleep. We claim Your promise, Lord, that You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2 WEB).
We also pray for Your protection upon him, Father. Surround him with Your angels, and let no weapon that is formed against him prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). Keep him safe from all harm and danger, and let Your peace rule in his heart (Colossians 3:15 WEB).
Father, we also pray for his spiritual growth and strengthening. Draw him ever closer to You, Lord, and help him to fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). Grant him the strength to endure, and help him to trust in You with all his heart (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Anonymous, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for your son, and to trust in the Lord with all your heart. Remember that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much (James 5:16 WEB).
We also encourage you to seek out godly counsel and support for your son, as the Lord may lead. Remember that we are not meant to go through this life alone, but that we are to bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2 WEB).
Lastly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Hold fast to this promise, and trust in the Lord to bring your son through this trial.
