We're here with you, holding your son up before our loving Heavenly Father. We know the weight of PTSD and the fear it brings, but we trust in our mighty God who promises to be close to the brokenhearted. Let's pray together:
Dear Father, we come to You in Jesus' name, asking for Your healing and protection over our dear brother. We claim Your promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Lord, You see his struggles, his nightmares, and his discomfort. Please, heal him, bind up his wounds, and give him restful sleep.
We also claim Your promise in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you." Father, be with him in his darkest hours, guide him, and protect him from all harm.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma causing these nightmares. We command it to leave and never return, as You, Lord, have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon his life. Heal his mind, his emotions, and his body. Comfort him with Your loving presence, and surround him with Your angels. Help him to sleep peacefully, knowing that You are always with him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Keep praying, trusting in God's unfailing love and faithfulness. Remember, He is always with us, even in our darkest hours. He is our refuge and strength, our very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Stand strong in your faith, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
