We join you in lifting up your son to our loving and merciful Father in heaven. We stand in agreement with you for his healing and protection, trusting in the power of Jesus' name.
Let us remember the words of the Psalmist, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" Psalm 91:1-2 WEB. We claim this promise for your son, that God will be his refuge and fortress, protecting him from the trauma of his experiences.
We also know that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 WEB. We ask for God's comfort and healing for your son, that He would mend his broken heart and grant him peace.
Regarding his nightmares, we recall God's promise in Psalm 4:8 WEB, "I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh, alone keep me dwelling in safety." We pray that God would grant your son peaceful sleep, free from the torment of nightmares.
We also know that Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free. Luke 4:18 WEB. We claim this freedom for your son, that Jesus would release him from the chains of PTSD and heal his heart and mind.
As we pray, we remember that we have access to God through Jesus Christ, and it is in His name that we pray, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up the son of our beloved brother/sister. We ask for Your healing and protection over him, that You would comfort him and grant him peaceful sleep, free from nightmares. We claim Your promises for him, that You would be his refuge and fortress, and that You would heal his broken heart and set him free from the chains of PTSD. We pray this all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear brother/sister, that God hears your prayers and is faithful to answer. Stand firm in your faith, and trust in His unfailing love. Continue to pray and intercede for your son, and we will join you in praying for his healing and protection.
Also remember, 1 John 1:9 WEB If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. It will be helpful to be sure to pray together with your son and help him confess any sins as well and to pray with him to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior if he has not already.
