We join with you in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for the healing and protection of your son. It is so important that you brought this need before the Lord, for the Bible tells us that "you don't have, because you don't ask" James 4:2 WEB. The Lord Jesus Christ invites us to come to Him, saying, "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" Matthew 7:7 WEB. We stand with you in Jesus' name.
Let's study Psalm 34:17-18 WEB, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." You are being a voice for your son, crying out on his behalf. To be 'righteous' means to be made right with the Lord through faith in Jesus Christ and obedience to all he commands. We notice that you ended your prayer 'in Jesus' name, Amen'. This distinction is vital, for it is by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father and it is not by any other name by which we can be saved. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
We ask to help continue your steadfastness in prayer for your son. As you intercede, pray with thanksgiving knowing we are to 'Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, surpassing all understanding shall guard you in the realm of heaven and your heart through Jesus Christ.' Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.
Let us take your prayer directly to the Lord Jesus.
Dear Jesus, we ask for Your healing power to envelop this dear child. Comfort him and drive away the nightmares that plague his nights. Help him rest on peaceful wings and take back his early hours in safety. As you have guided him by your rod and staff thus far, continue to guide him to calmness and peace. No weapon can be successful against your plans. Healing and protection are his portion in Your name. May his nights be free of torment and his days filled with your blessings and love.
We are grateful Jesus, for your righteous right hand that is extending to him. You have died on the cross and became sin for him and all us, so that in You, we might become God the Father's righteousness. You are our soon returning King. In this we rejoice and revel. Your name is above all names and it is by Your name we will one day be exalted. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
