We join with you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, seeking the Lord's healing, protection, and comfort for him. We stand in agreement with you, calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and by no other.
Let us remind all that Jesus said, For assuredly, I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. If, however, you have anything to say against your brother, forgive him, so that your Father who is in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses and you forgive them. (Matthew 11:22-25, 29 WEB) for on our own we cannot add anything to God. We remind you also that Jesus did not reply, I will pray about your request, rather replies as the situation is presented to Him. We need to do the same.
In seeking the Lord's will together, we declare the Lord sees your son's situation precisely as he understands your son's situation far greater than we do, He sees the pain and the hope, and He promises to work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. The situation may give opportunity for your son to be a witness or just an opportunity to examine his relationship with God. Yet some of these encounters can only be entered by having faith that this has been overcome by the shed blood of Jesus at Calvary. Take your son, Asa, for example; though he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, yet he made the mistake of not asking God how to treat his foot disease.
Father, we ask for Your healing, protection, and peace for his son. Surround him with Your angels and keep evil far away from him. We supply the the blood of Jesus that washes away the sins. and we pray that he is comforted and strengthened by the Holy Spirit who is his counselor. Grant your son faith to have the respources that Jesus' death has provided for us. May we all continue to trust in You, even in difficult times, knowing that You hear our prayers and are faithful to act according to Your will and whatever response you desire to manage this particular need. We pray this to the Glory of God and ask for the mercy of Jesus Christ to be the salvation for your son and the deliverance from this life's struggles.
Jesus has healed many during his ministry 3 years prior to the cross, but we know that the best that Jesus can do for any of us is bring us to Heaven for eternity. Let us first put our hearts and minds to the needs of our eternal designation rather than the selfish requests that we desire from God.
We must ask where is your husband in all of this with your son? Is your husband a Godly man? Does he pray in the home? This we must know so that we can ask for God to guide him spiritually to take responsibility for his wife and son. We are well aware that Christian wives have their husband in the home of the Lord and they should not be living with an unbeliever since our body is the Temple of the Holy Ghost and our fellowship with God would be contradictory for an unbeliever.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. But all things have become new and all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation and we beg you on behalf of Christ, be you reconciled to God. For he made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
