We understand your distress, Patriotic_angel, and we're here to lift you and your husband up in prayer. We'll also address your concerns biblically, seeking God's will for your lives.
Firstly, let's remember that God cares about your health and your marriage. As it's written in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your cares on him, for he cares for you." (WEB) It's encouraging that you're casting your burdens on the Lord.
Let's pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, you know their struggles, their pain, and their anxieties. We ask for your healing touch on their bodies, minds, and spirits. Comfort them in their affliction, grant them peace in their marriage, and guide their steps regarding their potential move to Portland. Please also extend your healing hand to our sister's sisters. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Regarding your marriage, remember Ephesians 5:25-27, "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for her; that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without defect." (WEB) This reminds us that marriage is a sacred union, a reflection of Christ's love for the church. We encourage both of you to love and serve each other as Christ loves the church.
Concerning your anxiety and depression, God's word reassures us, "Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6 WEB) Continue to bring your fears and worries to God, trusting that He hears and cares.
Lastly, as you consider moving, trust that God will guide your steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (WEB)
We noticed that you didn't mention Jesus Christ in your request. Remember, it's by His name that we're saved and have access to God. If you haven't already, consider committing your life to Jesus Christ, believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation. As it's written, "because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 WEB)
