We join together in lifting up your son Derek and your entire family before the throne of grace. Let us approach God with confidence, knowing that he hears and answers our prayers according to his will.
Firstly, we rejoice that you have come in Jesus' name, for it is by his name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, WEB). It is in Jesus that we have the hope of healing and redemption.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking your mercy and healing for Derek. We ask that you touch his body and mind, and heal him of all physical and mental issues. We claim your promise in Psalm 103:3 (WEB), 'who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases.'
Lord, we also lift up the rest of this family. We pray for good health, safety, and happiness. We ask that you surround them with your favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12, WEB). Let your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
Comfort them with your love, and fill them with your joy. Help them to trust in you, for you are their strength and their shield (Psalm 28:7, WEB). We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen."
Remember, beloved, that God's ways are higher than our ways, and his thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9, WEB). Trust that he is working all things together for good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB).
Be encouraged by the words of James 5:16 (WEB), "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective."
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying fervently, and to also declare God's promises over your family, for faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1, WEB). Keep believing and keep hoping, for our God is faithful.
