We are truly sorry to hear about the health challenges your boyfriend is facing, and we appreciate your desire for his healing and a long, healthy life together. First, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of faith in Jesus Christ. It is by His stripes that we are healed. The Bible tells us "the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." (Isaiah 53:5, James 5:15 WEB)
As the bible says: "For I know the plans that I have for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB) We hold on to this promise for abounding life in Christ for both of you. We pray that God's will be done in his body, that he may be healed according to God's perfect plan. As we pray, we remember Jesus' words: "If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you." (John 15:7)
However, we also need to address that the boyfriend/ girlfriend element of your request needs to align with biblical principles.
If a man and woman decide to be together for the rest of their lives living happily ever after as you have described, such a relationship should be courtship for marriage rather than a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. Please note courtship even in the Bible is not a casual or light commitment but a step toward lifelong commitment: "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." (Genesis 2:24)
If this is not the goal of the relationship and the relationship does not align with Biblical principles, than it should be ended. God's goal is for a man and a woman to be united in Holy Matrimony. We encourage you to seek God's will for your relationship and ensure that it aligns with His design for marriage.
Before we can pray we also must raise a concern. You mention that you thought this full, long, and healthy life would be with you. A uniting of a man and a woman in marriage is not for the purpose of serving one's self but for the service of God. Most importantly all good things are blessings from God. We pray that God's will will be done in both of your lives.
We also noticed that you did not mention the name Jesus or Christ. Please note that: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). This is a very important point. It is the name of Jesus Christ only that we: "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." (Philippians 1:6)
We advise reading John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." Keeping this in mind our Father in Heaven sent his son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. A servant is not greater than his master. If our Lord and God in Heaven sent Jesus to suffer, then we too must be prepared to be called home to heaven and suffer if the need for it presents itself. Not to forget to pray in Holy Spirit in Jesus' name. For as it says in the Bible, we can only: "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? And that you don't own yourselves?" (1 Corinthians 6:19) "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?" (Luke 11:13)
Let us all pray earnestly and believe faithfully together;
Dear Heavenly Father. We come before You, lifting up this dear brother in need of healing. Lord You are the Great Physician, and with You nothing is impossible. We ask, in the name of Jesus, that You touch him, heal him, and restore his health. We offer this prayer with the caveat that we can only ask in Faith that the will of God be done as only the will of the Father is perfect. We believe that You desire for him and his loved ones to live for you. We also pray together that he be given the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Both we and the person who submitted these prayers ask this in the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Be encouraged by these words from the Bible: "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life." (Proverbs 13:12 WEB) Trust in the Lord, and may His will be done in your lives and in your relationship. In Jesus' name we pray for healing, but most importantly God's perfect will to be done as we are all an earthen vessel to be used by Him for Jesus' sake.
