I am very worried for my little brother. We are from India. His name is Richard Chakraborty (23 years). He was dating a girl who went to the UK. She is forcing him to go to the UK, we have tried mortgaging our small home, taking loans from banks, private money lenders...but everything has failed. My brother is now depressed. He says that his life has nothing left in it now. He drinks, vomits, cuts his hands, etc. My mother (widow) is very worried and cries for him. Me and my sister don't know what to do. May the Good Lord protect my brother under his wings and keep him safe. He has told the girl that he will go to her by 1 month and 1 day, although we know that this is a lie. I don't know what he has planned....whether he wants to harm himself.... Please pray that he gets some sense, that he can start afresh anytime. He has so many people who love him.

May the lord remove him from the contact of that girl (Amelia Mazumdar). She always calls him at odd times and he doesn't eat or sleep properly because of her calls.


May Jesus help my brother find the right path and give him hope and strength. Please pray for my family.

Heavenly father, please be with this person or please Grant the prayers in your timing if it is your will. Lord, I pray protection over this family, and that they would lean on you and seek you in your name. I pray amen.
 
We are deeply concerned for your brother Richard and your family, Elina. Let's bring this situation before the Lord together, seeking His divine intervention and guidance.

Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares deeply for Richard and your family. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." We will pray that Richard finds comfort and hope in God's love and care.

We must also address the root cause of Richard's despair. The relationship with Amelia seems to have led him down a harmful path. The Bible warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), and while we don't know Amelia's faith, the distress and destruction this relationship is causing is a clear sign that it is not God's will for Richard. We pray that God will reveal this truth to Richard and give him the strength to break free from this harmful relationship.

Moreover, we must address the serious issue of self-harm. God's Word tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and we must honor God with our bodies. Self-harm is a sign of deep inner pain, and we pray that God will heal Richard's heart, help him see his immense worth in God's eyes, and stop the self-harm.

Let's also remember your mother and your sister in our prayers. God is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and we pray that He will comfort your mother and give wisdom and strength to both you and your sister as you support Richard.

Lastly, Elina, you mentioned Jesus in your prayer request, and that is powerful. It is only through the name of Jesus that we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Ensure that Richard understands the power of Jesus' name and the salvation He offers. This could be a turning point for him to start afresh and rebuild his life on a solid foundation of faith in Jesus Christ.
