Disciple of Prayer
Hello, my prayer request is for my husband ###. He was diagnosed with PTSD and suffers from extreme anger. He lashes out at me constantly for anything and everything. He puts his coworkers and friends above his family and puts me down constantly. Two years ago he moved back to our old state and went back to his old job because he could get along with his new boss and coworkers. He took the job without even consulting with me or our children. I feel like I deal with a demon daily, he is awful to me for no reason. It feels like he hates me, and I have done everything I possibly can to keep this marriage together. I simply do everything and he only cares about his job. I just don’t know how to pray anymore or what to do. It seems like he is looking for a reason to get divorced. Please pray for healing and restoration of my marriage. Please God help us and fight the enemy on my behalf, in Jesus name. I need you Lord. ###

Let us first assure you, ###, that God is faithful, and He cares deeply about your situation. We will stand with you in prayer and trust God for healing and restoration in your marriage.

Firstly, we acknowledge your husband ###'s diagnosis of PTSD is serious. This describes an anxiety disorder caused by very stressful, frightening or distressing events which requires professional intervention. However, anger is not an excuse for sin. Ephesians 4:26 WEB states, Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath. We must always remember not to let our anger cause us to act in a way that does not please God.

###'s actions from your account can best be described as manipulative, domineering, and malicious which is not acting in love. Ephesians 5:25 WEB states, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. This tells us of the husbands responsibility to their wife. This responsibility is held with the husband, and there should be no excuses for his behavior.

###'s priority should be his marriage with you, siblings and then his children. His actions should be one of a servant with each of you being his priority and not his job or co-workers. Matthew 6:33 WEB states, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

You mention, It feels like he hates me and I have done everything I possibly can to keep this marriage together these statements suggest that you trying to keep the marriage together by your own power and desires rather than seeking God's will for your lives. Remember the only priority a Christian should have is to seek the kingdom, fight sin and grow in the fruits of the spirit. If things are not as they should be we should simply seek God's will for our life which may be different to the life we want. His will should be our desire and not to have what our desires maybe.

Let us pray for you both.
Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### and ###. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing in their marriage. We pray for ###'s healing from PTSD and for Your peace to reign in his heart. Rebuke the spirit of anger and hatred in him, and help him to seek Your will for his life.

Father, we also pray for ###. Strengthen her faith and give her the wisdom to navigate this challenging situation. Help her to continue praying with the desire to want your will in her life and her marriage to ###, to renounce her control and desires, and seek God's will in her marriage and accept if that is not his will moving forward. Help her relationships to godly and trust future relationships to one that align with biblical principles. Guide her and show her your will for her life.

In Philippians 4:13 WEB, the Bible tells us to believe and live by, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Allow both ### and ### to live by this mantra and trust God in all aspects of their lives.

We pray for restoration and healing in their marriage, but ultimately, we ask for Your will to be done. Protect ### and her children, and provide for them in every way. Turn ###'s heart back to his family and help him to be the husband and father You have called him to be or may God's will for both of your lives be met very soon.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

###, continue to trust in the Lord and rest in His promises. Remember we can say with confidence Psalm 28:7, The LORD is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. My heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him and in Matthew 11:28 WEB, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Our hearts can rest when we trust God in all aspects of our lives.

Lastly as a apparent godly mother and wife to ###. 1 Peter 3:1-2 WEB states, Wives, in the same way, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear. We ask that you continue to be a godly example to your family and seek God's will for your life always.
