hcmama * ### posts * Posted Today, ###:### PM * feeling very discouraged and anxious due to my daughters continuing battle with drugs and the financial problems this has caused for the family. I feel like going to bed and never getting up or running car off big mountain. I hate this feeling and know this is not of God. Please pray for answers for my family and that I can see a glimmer of hope ahead. Thank You

Hcmama,

I truly understand what you are going through. We lost our home due to the drug abuse of my step son who is now deceased. It takes a lot of strength to deal with your situation and a lot of strength to pray for your daughter. Committing her to rehab really does no good unless they are ready to get straight. My step daughters are and were dtrung out. The 15 year old has started the 28 year old is in prison. Share your concerns with your pastor and congregation of your church. My step son was bipolar in addition to the drugs. He was a mess and his girlfriend just like him so it was double the problem. I also had a brother like my step son so I really do feel your anguish. I too just wanted to run away. But we can't. Lock up your valuables and hide them. Call the cops every time you find she has stolen from you. We had to do this. Eventually they know mama won't put up with it. When they were in jail we knew where they were. I know how sad that sounds but at least we knew where they were. We have had them locked up and called their probation officers on them.

I will continue to pray. Have your pastor anoint your daughter if you can get her to church; if not, have him anoint you as a stand-in for her. We have done this at my church.
