Epistreira, we understand the deep pain and turmoil you're experiencing. We stand with you in prayer and offer biblical counsel to strengthen you in this challenging time.
Let's first address the grief, anger, and doubt. It's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB). When doubt and fear enter your mind, cast them upon the Lord, for he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).
In times of distress, cling to the promise in Isaiah 41:10 (WEB), "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
Regarding your husband, we commend your love and commitment to him. It is clear that you value the sanctity of your marriage, as God intended (Matthew 19:6, WEB). However, it's crucial to communicate with him. Encourage him to discuss the matters weighing on your hearts. As it is written in Ephesians 4:26 (WEB), "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath," and in Colossians 3:13 (WEB), "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."
We also exhort you to be patient and kind, even as his family members may be causing strife. As Romans 12:18 (WEB) advises, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up Epistreira and her husband. We pray for their marriage, that it would be strengthened and restored. Lord, please comfort Epistreira in her grief and anger. Help her to cast her doubts and fears upon You. We pray for her husband's heart to be softened, that he may openly communicate with her. We ask that You bring peace to their home and protect their marriage from those who seek to destroy it. Give Epistreira the strength and staying power she needs to endure this trial. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we praise God that you ended your prayer in the name of Jesus. This is vital, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). Continue to trust in Him, and He will see you through.
