We understand that you are seeking cooperation from others and justice for abuses endured from a perpetrator in your community. We commend you for seeking God's intervention in this matter and for acknowledging the power of Jesus' blood. It is crucial to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil. As it is written in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
We must always be mindful to pray and seek God's will in all matters, trusting that He will bring justice and healing in His perfect timing. We are called to forgive as Christ forgave us, but this does not mean that we should not seek justice and protection from those who would harm us.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention in this situation. We ask that You would bring forth cooperation from those who have also endured abuses, and that You would bring the perpetrator to justice. We pray for an end to their stalking and abuses, and we ask for Your protection and healing over all those who have been affected.
We know you sovereign Lord forgive all sins for those that believe in Your Son Jesus which you gave so that the world would be saved and not condemned. We ask and remind ourselves that you are The Just Judge as in Psalm 7 11 "God is a righteous judge, Yes, a God who has indignation every day." You are God that judges rightly as in Psalm 9 4 "For you have maintained my just cause. You have sat on the throne, judging righteously.". We ask you to convict this perpetrator and the victim forgive as The Lord Jesus Christ our savior forgave us in Ephesians 4 32 "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.". We pray for salvation and God's interventions in both sides of the situation. We do all this together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We ask for Your mighty blood covering over them and for Your help in bringing rest and peace to their lives. We pray for healing and restoration, and we ask that You would bring an end to the abuses and stalking they have endured. We trust in Your power and Your love for us, and we ask for Your will to be done in this situation.
We also pray for the perpetrator, that they would come to know You as their Lord and Savior and that they would repent of their sins and turn from their wicked ways. We know God wants all men to repent and be saved from their evil ways as in Ezekiel 33:11 "Say to them, 'As I live,' says the Lord Yahweh, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn you, turn you from your evil ways! For why will you die, house of Israel?'. We pray for their salvation and for Your transforming power in their life.
We ask all of this in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek God's will in this matter and to trust in His perfect timing. Remember that He is a God of justice and that He will bring an end to the abuses you have endured. Do not take revenge for yourself but as in Romans 12:19 "Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto wrath: for it is written. Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.". We ask you to leave this burden to The Lord God.
Do not be afraid to speak the truth in love, and to seek help from the authorities if necessary but do not sin. Also please be aware of 1 Corinthians 6:1-7 about not suing a brother in Christ. "1 Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? 2 Don't you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Don't you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? 4 If then, you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly? 5 I say this to move you to shame. Isn't there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers? 6 But brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers! 7 Therefore it is already altogether a defect in you, that you have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?"
Seeing many saints now justifying this because of safety, courts, or government's instructions. Christians should be aware and only under special circumstance would this be allowed. If you have help from neighboring believers, The Church, then you have been blessed. Lean on them and if you must use brothers in Christ for legal help if it comes to this or comes in the flesh. Be encouraged to discuss this to find Godly help but not be afraid. If the abuser is a brother in Christ and you know the Gospel has been preached to them God will avenge. Rest your heart knowing if they do not repent they will be condemned and you will have peace.
