We understand that you're about to engage in a difficult conversation and we want to assure you that you're not alone. The Bible encourages us, "Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB)
Firstly, we commend you for seeking to build bridges and make things better. This aligns with the spirit of reconciliation that God desires for us. As it is written, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." (Romans 12:18, WEB)
However, we want to gently remind you that fear is not from God. The Bible tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB) Trust that God will give you the wisdom and the words to speak during this conversation.
Let's pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved brother/sister who is about to engage in a difficult conversation. We ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them wisdom, understanding, and kindness. Help them to speak the truth in love, building bridges rather than walls. Cast out any spirit of fear and replace it with Your perfect love. We trust that this conversation will be guided by Your hand and will bring about a resolution that honors and glorifies You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God and receive His help. As the Bible says, "And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB)
Stay strong in the Lord, and trust that He will guide your conversation.
