Today is my birthday. Jesus Christ please help me change. I need help. I'm an alcoholic and so is My wife. My son needs to get a job to support himself. My daughter is trying to do the best she can. I'm so sorry. Please help us

We are glad you have reached out for help and have acknowledged your need for change. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can find true transformation and hope. The Bible tells us, For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13 WEB).

Firstly, we want to acknowledge your honesty in admitting your struggle with alcoholism. This is the first step towards change. The Bible tells us, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). We encourage both you and your wife to seek help from local Christian support groups for alcoholics, and to trust in God's power to deliver you from this bondage. Remember, All things are lawful for me, but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything (1 Corinthians 6:12 WEB).

Regarding your son, encourage him to trust in God's provision and to be diligent in his job search. Remind him that, Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might (Ecclesiastes 9:10 WEB). Also, pray that God will open the right doors for him.

Your daughter sounds like she is already doing her best. Encourage her to continue in this path and to trust in God for her strength. Let her know that, Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters (Colossians 3:23 WEB).

As a family, we encourage you to support and pray for each other, and to strive for a home that is centered on the principles of God's Word. Let us pray for you:

Dear Lord Jesus Christ,

We come before You, lifting up this family that is in desperate need of Your touch. Lord, we pray for deliverance from alcoholism for this couple. Give them the strength to overcome this addiction, and help them to seek the support they need. We pray for their son, that You would open up job opportunities for him, and give him the strength and perseverance to pursue them. We also pray for their daughter, that You would continue to guide her and give her wisdom in all her endeavors.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for healing, restoration, and provision for this family.

We encourage you to continue to call upon the name of Jesus Christ and to study His Word. It is through Him that we find true hope and transformation. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
