It is unfortunate that some are still of the mindset that, because I celebrate my birthday in such a public forum, I am somehow being haughty or seeking to exalt myself; O that they could've walked my journey, then they would understand that my celebration is not about me; but about the God who continues to keep me. The more righteous spirit, especially in light of all the so-called "coincidences" happening in the midst thereof, might even discern it, not as self exaltation, but as my generosity with the gospel at work in my testimony.
All things considered, it does give me humble satisfaction when those who rebuke me, especially for my language, actually READ the text, and find that, in most instances, my language is direct scriptural quote: In the same way, my sometimes colorful language, while not direct quotes, neither adds to, nor takes away from scripture, but rather paraphrases: for example, "IT'S ALREADY DONE!" (I love that one) that's gleaned from Isaiah 65: 24 "Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear."
AIN'T GOD GOOD?!
Inspite of it all, I gotta say, there is such sweet hope in simply knowing that so many more people are leaning to the scriptures, and thereby getting to know Him better. That's one of the best birthday presents ever.
