We are with you, Tachick, in lifting up Jakeb before the throne of God. It is so important that you have included Jesus' name in your prayer, for as the WEB says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We are thankful you recognize the power in Jesus' Name and calling on Him in prayer.
We pray that Jakeb would find comfort and peace in God's presence. As it says in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
We ask the Holy Spirit to fill Jakeb's heart and bring healing to his mind and emotions. Also to convict him if he has idolitry in his life. Remember, the Holy Spirit is our Comforter. "But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all things which I said to you. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:26-27 WEB)
To seek forgiveness when you doubt or get angry is important. As it says in the WEB, Ephesians 4:26-27, "Be angry, and don't sin.' Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." It is only natural to have doubts and frustrations, but we must be aware of them and be sure to line ourselves up with God's Word and His will.
In regards to happiness, remember that joy and happiness are not always the same thing. Joy can be present even in difficult times, as it is a fruit of the Spirit that can be present in suffering. It is more continuous and based on eternity, while happiness is more fleeting and based on circumstances. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB)
We join you in asking that Jakeb would be filled with God's peace and joy, even in whatever circumstances he is facing. As we do not know the cause of his tears we ask that God would convict him of any sin. Also we ask God to protect him from any sin this situation may lead to.
We also pray for you, that God would give you strength, wisdom, and patience as you support Jakeb. Remember to keep your eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith. Be encouraged by God's promises, and know that we are standing with you in prayer.
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
