Let us first bring this situation to the Lord in prayer, seeking His intervention and guidance.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Elodie and her mother in their time of need. Lord, You know the situation they are facing with the handyman Daniel, who has not been acting in good faith. We pray that You would intervene in this situation, soften Daniel's heart, and urge him to fulfill his commitments with integrity and diligence.
Father, we also pray for Elodie and her mother, that You would grant them peace and patience as they wait for this matter to be resolved. We ask that You would protect them from any further disadvantage and provide for them in every way.
Lord, we know that You are a God of justice and truth. We pray that You would bring resolution to this situation in a way that honors You and brings glory to Your name. Guide Elodie and her mother through this process, and help them to trust in You with all their hearts.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Elodie, in addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to address this situation. First, try to contact Daniel by registered mail, stating clearly what he agreed to do, the amount he has already been paid, and the remaining work and funds. Keep a record of all communications and payments made to him, also consider contacting local authorities or a legal professional for advice if Daniel continues to be unresponsive. The apostle Paul tells us in Romans 13:1-7 WEB to be subject to the higher authorities as they are appointed by God.
Remember Jesus words in Matthew 19:19 WEB, "honor your father and your mother" and "you shall love your neighbor as yourself." It is clear that Daniel's actions are not displaying love and honesty.
Proverbs 10:9 WEB tells us, "He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out." Daniel's lack of integrity will ultimately be exposed, and he will have to answer for his actions.
Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and faith, trusting that God is at work in this situation. As we read in Psalms 37:5-6 WEB, "Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this: He will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." God is faithful, and He will bring justice and resolution to this matter as you continue to trust in Him. Do not forget, it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can come to God and it is only by His name can we be saved. Finally, pray that Daniel will repent and come to faith in Jesus Christ.
