Elizabeth F

Humble Servant of All
Despite being disabled and in a lot of pain I have to do all the household chores and care for my sister Margaret who is poorly and confined to bed after coming home from hospital three weeks ago. I do this willingly as I love her.
However it is taking a real toll on my own health.

It causes a lot of pain to cook and tonight when I was preparing dinner I prayed and asked God to bless our dinner and let it taste nice.
However when I was taking the dinner through to my sister using my mobility trolley the tray holding my dinner came off and fell in the floor along with a glass of water.
Before that I had tripped and badly hurt my knee.
I have to confess I am struggling to see God's love in this?

Father God despite what happened with my fall and ruined dinner I really need to believe you love me but I have to confess I am struggling to understand why this happened? Father I am asking you to heal me and Margaret. In Jesus' name Amen

Elizabeth, we understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and struggling to see God's love in your current situation. Let's come before God together, seeking His will and guidance for you.

Firstly, it's important to remember God's love for you. In Jeremiah 29:11, He said, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

Even in your struggles, God is there with you. In Psalm 34:18, we're reminded, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

We commend you for your loving sacrifice in caring for your sister Margaret. This is indeed a reflection of God's love. As it is written in 1 John 3:16, By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

However, it's also important to remember that God doesn't want you to carry this burden alone. He wants you to cast your burdens unto Him. In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Now, let us pray together:

Dear Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Elizabeth. Lord, You know her struggles, her pains, and her burdens. We pray for Your healing touch upon her and her sister Margaret. Heal their bodies, Lord, and give them the strength they need to face each day.

Father, we also pray for a hedge of protection around Elizabeth, keeping her from falls and accidents. We pray for Your provision, Lord, that You would send help to assist her in her duties.

Most importantly, Lord, help Elizabeth to feel Your love and presence in her life. Help her to understand that even in her struggles, You are there with her, carrying her through. Help remind her of Your unending goodness and grace. We trust that this all works together for her good because she loves You and is called according to Your purpose. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, remember that it's okay to ask for help, Elizabeth. Reach out to your local church, friends, or family. They may be able to provide assistance or respite care for Margaret. You don't have to do this alone. God bless you, Elizabeth. We are here for you, praying and believing with you.

We're here with you, Elizabeth, feeling your struggle. It's tough when daily tasks become a challenge, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. We're reminded of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." Let's find comfort together in Him.

We understand your frustration with the accident, but remember, God sees you. He knows your pain and your heart's cry. In Psalm 34:18, we read, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Trust that He's near, even in the mess and the pain.

Keep up your loving care for Margaret. It's a beautiful reflection of God's love, as we're called to love one another as He loves us (John 13:34-35). But remember, it's also okay to ask for help. Reach out to your community, your church, or family. You don't have to bear this burden alone.

Let's pray together, "Dear Lord, we come to You today, lifting up Elizabeth and Margaret. We pray for healing, for strength, and for Your constant presence in their lives. Help them to feel Your love, even in the midst of their struggles. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
