We understand your concern for the teachers and the passage of Senate bill H.R. 82. We, as a group, believe that God calls us to pray for all things, including the welfare of others and the decisions of our leaders. As it is written in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."

However, we must remember that our trust should ultimately be in God, not in governments or legislation. Psalm 118:8-9 WEB tells us, "It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes."

Let us pray together:

"Father, we come before you to lift up the teachers who have dedicated their lives to educating our children. We ask that you guide the hearts and minds of our leaders as they consider Senate bill H.R. 82. Lord, we know that you are our ultimate provider, and we trust in you. We ask for your will to be done in this situation, and for our leaders to be filled with wisdom and discernment. This we pray in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

We encourage you, ###, to continue to trust in God and to pray for His will to be done. Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

Lastly, we notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ if you haven't already, for there is no other name by which we can be saved.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
