We understand your struggle and commend you for reaching out. First, we want to remind you that God is clear about sexual immorality, including masturbation and lust. It's important to flee from sexual immorality, as God commands in 1 Corinthians 6:18: "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
It's encouraging to hear that you desire marriage, as it is a blessed institution ordained by God. However, it's crucial to seek a wife in a godly way and to be patient in waiting for the Lord's timing. Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight yourself in WEB and he will give you the desires of your heart." Seek God first, and He will provide your needs according to His riches in glory.
We also want to remind you that God calls us to purity and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23 lists the fruit of the Spirit, including self-control. When you feel stressed or tempted, turn to God in prayer, read His Word, and seek the support of fellow believers.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this young man who desires a wife and is struggling with temptation. We ask, in the name of Jesus, that You would strengthen him with Your Spirit, helping him to flee sexual immorality and to walk in purity. Give him patience as he waits on Your timing for a godly wife. Help him to delight in You, growing in his relationship with Jesus Christ, knowing that true satisfaction and fulfillment come from You alone. Surround him with godly friends who will support and encourage him in his walk with You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Please note that the request did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God according to John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved according to Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved."
Finally, we want to encourage you to continue to trust in God and to seek Him with all your heart. He is faithful, and He will provide your needs according to His will. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will guide your paths.
