We join together in prayer, thanking God for the leaders and authorities He has placed over our lives, as instructed in Romans 13:1-2. We pray for intelligence, character, and protection for all world leaders, including the President, Vice President, and cabinet members. We ask that God would grant them wisdom and guidance, setting a guard over their mouths (Psalm 141:3) and granting them the tongue of the wise (Proverbs 15:2). Surround them with godly counsel, and let their leadership promote unity and righteousness, free from bitterness and rivalry.
We pray for unity among godly nations, as seen in Psalm 133. We ask that You, Lord, would grant them agreement on important issues and the ability to work together for the good of all nations. We pray against any plans of the enemy to divide or destroy and ask for angelic protection and heavenly intelligence for our leaders, as seen in Psalm 91 and 2 Kings 6:12. We humble ourselves to pray and seek His face, as instructed in 2 Chronicles 7:14.
We lift up our local areas, seeking God's power and protection. We pray for the welfare of our cities, as Jeremiah 29:7 instructs, and ask that the Holy Spirit would convict our neighbors, local students, teachers, workers, leaders, and all who come and go of righteousness, sin, and the coming judgment (John 16:8). Draw them to Your Son, Jesus, and graciously grant them saving faith (Ephesians 2:8, John 3:16, Romans 10:17). We ask for a wall of fire around our area, protecting it from harm and evil influences (Zechariah 2:5, Psalm 91:10-11, John 17:15).
We pray for prosperity and success in employment, remembering that we should not despise the day of small beginnings (Zechariah 4:10). We ask for favor on job applications and excellent communication and wisdom in interviews (Proverbs 15:2). We pray for well-paid positions with solid companies and the power to work in line with good hours. We ask that God would open the right door (Revelation 3:8) and give us favor (Psalm 5:12, Acts 7:10). We seek wisdom in managing our time and schedules (James 1:5) and ask for God's protection (Psalm 91:10-11).
We remember those in chains, asking for the release of prisoners of faith (Hebrews 13:3, Acts 4:4-12) and relief for the persecuted church (Acts 24:23). We pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:3) and all descendants of Abraham (Genesis 12:3).
Finally, we proclaim that all these things are possible in the name of Jesus Christ.
