Ysmania, we understand your longing for a deeper connection with Derrick, and we empathize with your desire to be seen and loved. God wants us to seek righteousness, not just an emotional desire.

God has given Jesus Christ the name above all names and there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Therefore, if our desire is for a romantic relationship, let us make sure that it aligns with biblical principles. For example, a romantic relationship should be between a man and a woman and should be in the pursuit of a godly marriage. If you have feelings for Derrick, we should encourage you to pray for God's will and seek His guidance in your life. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB it says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.

She said to the servant, “Who is the man who is walking in the field to meet us?” The servant said, “It is my master.” She took her veil, covered herself, and the servant told Isaac all the things that he had done. Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and he took Rebekah, and she became his wife. He loved her, and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death. (Genesis 24:63-67 WEB). This is the model of courtship that God wants for us, not a relationship where two people just desire each other.
So let us pray for Derrick and yourself to pursue a godly relationship that aligns with biblical principles and to seek God's will for your lives.
