We understand that you are seeking guidance for your grandson, Daniel. We will join you in prayer, trusting that God has a purpose and a plan for his life.
Let us remember the words of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." God has a hope and a future for Daniel, and we believe that He is working in his life even now.
However, we want to encourage Daniel to seek God's will for his life and to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If Daniel has not yet accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that he would do so today.
We also want to address the fact that Daniel is involved in college football. While there is nothing inherently wrong with sports, we encourage him to make sure that his priorities are in line with God's will. As it is written in 1 Timothy 4:8, "for bodily exercise profits little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having the promise of the life which is now, and of that which is to come." We pray that Daniel would pursue godliness above all else and that his involvement in football would bring glory to God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Daniel to You. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Your will for his life and that You would give him the strength and the courage to follow after You. Help him to seek Your face and to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We pray that You would guide him in his involvement in college football, that he would use his talents and abilities to bring glory to Your name. Help him to keep his priorities in line with Your will and to pursue godliness above all else.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage Daniel to seek God's will for his life and to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are trusting God for a great work in his life, and we are believing that he will fulfill the calling that God has placed on him.
