Thank you, Natasha, for reaching out and seeking guidance in this situation. We understand that you're feeling uncertain about visiting your parents due to the challenges and negativity you might face. Let's bring this to the Lord in prayer and seek His wisdom together.
Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God is always there to guide us. As it says in James 1:5 WEB, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. So, let's come before Him with confidence, knowing that He will provide the guidance you need.
It's important to honor our parents, as the Bible commands in Exodus 20:12 WEB, Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which WEB gives you, but this does not mean you should compromise your emotional well-being or spiritual growth.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister Natasha. Lord, she needs Your wisdom and guidance regarding her visit to her parents' home. Lord Jesus, you did not have a problem denying your family for Your goals as stated in Matthew 12:47-50. We do not want Natasha to use this as an excuse to not ever visit her parents or go against the commandment to honor her parents. Please, give her clarity about when to go, how long to stay, and how to set healthy boundaries. Strengthen her to face any negativity with grace, patience and love as You would.
Holy Spirit, Natasha has called out to You for help. Please, comfort her and guide her in every decision she makes regarding this visit. Let her feel Your presence and know that You are always with her.
Father you know Natasha's problems and her parent's problems. We do not know but you know if they are saved and believe in Jesus Christ. And we know there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it says in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Remind Natasha and her parents how much You love them and want to have a relationship with them. Convict Natasha and her parents' hearts and draw them near to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray for Natasha's peace and her parents' peace. May Your will be done in this situation. Help Natasha and her parents to live lives which are pleasing to You and bring glory and honor to Your name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Natasha, be encouraged by these words from Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, Trust in WEB with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
We encourage you to remember to pray in Jesus' name as He is our only way to be reconciled to God. As it says in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Without Christ we cannot do anything of real significance.
Lastly, if you have not already we would encourage you to believe in Jesus Christ. Confess your sins and believe in Him and His resurrection and you will be saved. By doing this you will be a Christian and will be reconciled to God. By trusting in Jesus Christ you will have access to God and can go to heaven when you die. This is the most important decision you can make.
